广州古城文脉绵延，书院林立蔚为壮观

#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong Guangzhou, a cultural city with a history of 2200 years in Guangdong, boasts a rich cultural heritage. Ancient academies that once flourished across the Guangzhou region are now considered a unique carrier of its cultural heritage and have been well-received by future generations. The academies have mushroomed throughout the region over the millennia from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 A.D.) to the late Qing Dynasty (1840-1912 A.D.).

According to the fourth Guangzhou archaeological survey, Guangzhou has 4 official and about 20 local academies, 280 study rooms, libraries, and family schools, and around 20 tribal academies of all ages. Having been responsible for shaping the cultural life of Guangzhou, the academies are a precious cultural heritage of the city.

建城2200多年的历史文化名城广州，文脉源远流长。广州地区盛极一时的古代书院文化，是文脉传承的独特载体，泽被后世。广州书院有近千年历史，由南宋至清末，广州地区曾出现的书院数量众多，遍布羊城内外。

据广州市第四次文物普查及考古发现，广州现存历代学宫及遗址4处，历代书院及遗址20余处，历代书室、书舍、家塾等遗址280余处，历代宗族（祠）书院及遗址近20处，是千年羊城文脉所系，成为历史文化名城广州的珍贵文化遗产。
