It was included in the first batch of the "Ancient Chinese Village List" and became one of the "Top 10 Most Beautiful Ancient Villages in Guangdong". The village was also  recognized as a "Guangdong Province Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit"

In recent years, Longhu Town has been focusing on leveraging its cultural resources and promoting rural revitalization.
