广州动物园两年成功繁育野生动物千余只

In recent years, Guangzhou Zoo has actively carried out research on biodiversity and ecological restoration to strengthen the protection of native endangered species in the wild. In the past two years, Guangzhou Zoo has successfully bred more than 1,000 wild animals, including Sun Bears, Chinese Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys, and Hainan Eld's Deer, completed artificial breeding of endangered birds such as the Reeves's Pheasants, and created a "Sperm Bank" for Silver Pheasants and other endangered birds.

The zoo has also participated in the implementation of Guangzhou's urban plan to build a biodiversity forest and carried out the rewilding and release research of Silver Pheasants and other animals.

Guangzhou Zoo now has about 5000 wild animals (400 species), ranking among the top three urban zoos in China in terms of the variety and quantity of captive wild animals. #LingnanAnimal

近年来，广州动物园积极开展生物多样性和野外生态恢复的研究，加强对野外本土濒危物种的保护。近两年，广州动物园成功繁育马来熊、川金丝猴、海南坡鹿等野生动物千余只，完成白冠长尾雉等濒危鸟类的人工育雏，建立白鹇等鸟类“精子银行”；参与实施广州构建生物多样性森林城市计划，开展白鹇等动物野化放归研究等。广州动物园现有约400种近5000头（只）野生动物，圈养野生动物种类、数量综合排名位居国内城市动物园前三名。
